I'm Dan and I work for John Lewis Oxford Street's Visual Merchandising Department, and today I'm going to show you how to fold a dress shirt. When you first start folding, make sure you've done all your buttons up as you would wear the shirt. If you use a particular pair of cufflinks, you may find it easier to put the cufflinks on before you fold the shirt.

I'm just going to put the cufflinks on so they're ready. Now these are dress silk cufflinks that go with this shirt, and they're just elastic so they're really easy to put on. Now, once you've done this, if you reverse your shirt on your flat surface and make sure it's nice and flat.

Then fold in from the side equally, just carefully placing the sleeves of the shirt down from the side from where you folded in. Just make sure the folds are equal from the collar. And from the bottom of the shirt just fold in once, and if you are folding in a collared dress shirt, you fold up again and over.

That is how you fold a dress shirt.
