You Will Need

  • loom
  • shuttles
  • hook
  • knife
  • yarn

Top Tips

  • One shuttle for each colour.
  • The tartan's pattern has to fit the width of the fabric you are weaving and must repeat evenly all the way down.
  • To finish the tartan you should wash it. Hot temperatures will "felt" the wool, making the fabric small and stiff. Cooler or cold temperatures will make the fabric very soft.
